35 km from Mussoorie is a small hamlet totally oblivious to the out side World and totally lost in an era lost long ago, still it greets the occasional visitor with open arms and hospitality only heard of and never experienced. A small but beautiful boutique resort by the name of Hermitage has been built in this beautiful village to satisfy the needs of the adventure loving traveler. Tastefully done rooms, spacious lawns and a small cafe overlooking the mountain ranges and surrounded by tall pines serves Indian, Chinese and Continental food. Wonderful use has been made of the meager resources available in a most eco friendly manner. Evening bon fire and bar-be-cue in the lawns is a most pleasing and satisfying experience. 2 bed room and 3 bed room cottages are also available with kitchen facilities.
