CORBETT Camp Forktail
Creek, 3D/ 2N
One of India's
oldest national parks, and located in the foothills of
the Himalayas in Uttaranchal, it is named after writer,
hunter and conservationist Jim Corbett. This park was
one of the first tiger reserves in the country where
Project Tiger was launched in 1973. |

Corbett is a haven for over 50 mammals, 580 birds and 25 kinds of reptiles. Basking on the banks of the Ramganga River are fish-eating gharial and marsh crocodiles. The river also has plenty of golden mahaseer, though fishing is prohibited. The luxury camp has 12 safari-style tents with thatched roofs and semi-tiled toilets with running water. The tents are placed on wooden platforms and each one comes with a private sundeck. |
